Admissions

Admission Process

Al-Abbas Educational Complex was built for students from remote and low-income households in Gilgit-Baltistan — families for whom distance and cost, not ability, are what stand between a child and their education.

Al-Abbas Educational Complex, Skardu

Admission is open to students who need what this campus provides

We admit students on that basis. The process below is the same for every applicant, whether they are joining as a day student or applying for a place in the boys' or girls' hostel.

1

Enquire

Contact the campus office by phone, or start your application on the online registration portal. Tell us the student's age, the class they are currently in, and whether hostel accommodation is needed.

2

Visit the Campus

Families are encouraged to visit before applying, particularly for hostel admission. You can see the classrooms, the residential floors and the dining arrangements for yourself.

3

Submit the Application

Complete the admission form at the office and submit it together with the required documents listed below.

4

Entry Assessment

The student sits a short assessment so they can be placed in the class that matches their current level, rather than on paperwork alone.

5

Confirmation of Place

The office confirms the outcome, the class allocated, and — where applicable — whether a hostel place is available for that intake.

6

Enrolment

Fees and hostel arrangements are settled with the office, and the student is enrolled and given their joining date.

Who Can Apply

Eligibility

We admit students on need as well as ability. If this campus is what stands between a child and their education, we want to hear from you.

  • Open to both boys and girls, with separate residential floors for each
  • Priority given to students from remote areas of Gilgit-Baltistan for whom daily travel to school is not practical
  • Priority given to students from low-income and underprivileged households
  • The student must be of an appropriate age for the class being applied for
  • Hostel places depend on availability on the relevant residential floor at the time of application
  • All applicants sit an entry assessment for class placement
What to Bring

Required Documents

Bring the originals for verification along with one photocopy of each. The office will return the originals to you the same day.

  • Student's B-Form / identity document

Original for verification, together with a photocopy for the file.

  • Parent or guardian's CNIC

Copy of the national identity card of the parent or guardian signing the application.

  • Previous school record

Last school leaving certificate, report card or result card, where the student has attended school before.

  • Passport-size photographs

Recent photographs of the student for the admission file and records.

  • Proof of residence

A document showing the family's home area, used when assessing applications from remote districts.

  • Medical information

For hostel applicants, any ongoing medical condition, allergy or medication the residential staff must know about.

Costs

Fee Structure

Al-Abbas Educational Complex is a supported institution. Tuition, hostel accommodation and meals are charged at rates set to stay within reach of the families we exist to serve, and the current schedule is issued by the campus office.

Concessions are available for students from low-income households, and no family should assume a place is out of reach before speaking to us. Where a student clearly needs this campus and the fee is the obstacle, we would rather have the conversation than lose the student.

  • Tuition is charged separately from hostel and dining charges
  • Hostel charges cover accommodation, meals and residential supervision
  • Concessions are available for students from low-income families
  • The current fee schedule is issued in writing by the campus office

Fee amounts are not published here because they are reviewed each academic year. For the current schedule, call the office on +92 321 2682885 or +92 345 2734679.
